Pastor Brian Boettcher was born in Portsmouth, VA and he grew up in Chesapeake, VA. Brian attended intended Virginia Wesleyan, where he obtained a BA in religious studies. Upon graduation, he received a full scholarship to pursue a master’s of divinity at Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta. During this time, Brian worked at Glenn Memorial UMC.
Brian has been appointed in the Virginia Conference for the last 8 years in congregations in the Norfolk and Virginia Beach area.Brian loves discipleship in small groups, missions in the local community, and reaching and welcoming new people. He is a certified coach for Simplified Accountable Structure. Brian enjoys bowling in his free time, playing games with friends, and traveling.
